So far this is all the routines I have been able to find for the SMTPsvg.Mailer object.

Set Mailer = Server.CreateObject("SMTPsvg.Mailer")
With Mailer
.FromName = "David Monast"
.FromAddress= "brillo@brilloware.com"
.RemoteHost = "mail.intersatx.net"
.AddRecipient sPersonName, sEmail
' .AddRecipient "Ernest Testin", "etestin@intersatx.net"
' .AddCC "Ernest Testin", "etestin@intersatx.net"
' .AddBCC "Ernest Testin", "etestin@intersatx.net"
.Subject = "Monast Family Tree - Thank you for registering!"
.BodyText = sMsg
End With

If Mailer.SendMail Then
Response.Write "Mail send success!"
Else
Response.Write "Mail send failure. Error was " & Mailer.Response
End if

This is the only web mail sending my provider supports. I would like to extend this by retrieving mail also. Does any one know if this is possible? If so, where can I find that information?

I don't think you can receive email with that object.

SMTP isn't meant for receiving mail.. that's what POP (Post Office Protocol) is for. Check out this page:

The ASPMial Object (SMTPsvg.Mailer) by ServerObjects supports allot more properties and methods than this. For a full list and how to use them see ServerObject's Website at:

http://www.serverobjects.com/comp/Aspmail4.htm

The demo version of ASPMail component does not support all of the properties and methods. The demo version will also expire.
