Nice desktop. It almost looks rather distracting with all of the bright colors. :)

Sadly, I wish I could post mine. :(

OK. How wide is your desktop?
Looks double-screenish.
It almost looks like a My Documents folder.
unless you emptied that onto the desktop ;).

My sorry litttle desktop, some images have been censored due to no reason at all.

Bucky
09-13-2002, 07:19 PM
I used to make a special background in PSP that had lines and
titles, and then I'd group the icons in the right areas. Now I do
that instinctively, and always around the border of the monitor.
I dunno why, I just like it that way. It's a nit-picky thing.

It also leaves a convenient place for cool pictures. :D

Weird... uploading the picture again

Bah... that's screwy. I'll try again later

I keep my desktop like I keep my desk, room, and closet. This
is my laptop's desktop.

To pacify the 56k (and under) users, I have made it optional to
download my picture. Thank you.

File size :: 45 Kilobytes

How can I make my desktop clear with no icons? Can you help me to do that?

Pookie
09-13-2002, 10:28 PM
You selected them all, and press delete... :)

Angela
09-13-2002, 11:22 PM
Then how can I bring them back again? Is there any single step like that???

Pookie
09-13-2002, 11:44 PM
You then to go the recycling bin and select all the files and click restore. :)

Pookie
09-13-2002, 11:47 PM
One other method, with XP, don't know about 98, is you right click on the desktop then select Arrange Icons by ->Show Desktop Items

Robby
09-14-2002, 12:05 AM
Pookie, delete them? Not system folders you don't. RightClick desktop >> Show Desktop Icons (Win2k/Win98) and Pookie's way for WinXP.

Xilica2k2
09-14-2002, 04:53 AM
Yeah I know I like Clean Desktops, once I get Windows 2k it will be even cleaner. With XP I like how you can have your whole desktop cleared.

This is not my desktop. This is my Zip disk that functions sort of as my desktop. It's junky and large and this is the bottom third of it.
I highlighted my avatar and I know exactly what all of those files are.... :) Well, maybe not.

Pookie, did you code/design the PookBar? Very nice.

My plain old desktop

Gamer X

Oooh, Pookie, mega-cool. Just wondering . . . where's the anime background from?

Mine isn't too much. All I keep on the desktop is the stuff I'm using currently. I prefer to keep program links and such in a (very) large folder in the Start Menu. While my room has densly populated corners, and my closet's a loss, my computer is meticulously organized . . .

Pookie

Re: Robby and Gamer X, Yes I wrote it myself as I use the computer a lot to load a lot of different programs all the time, I just got tired to either having icons all over the desktop, or taking up all the space in the taskbar, plus found it annoying to use the start -> programs, etc to load programs, so the solution was to write a small program which allows you click on the icon in the sys tray to open that window up at where you can access anything you want with another click of the mouse...

That background pic is Minmay from Macross (Robotech), but I have around 10 pics and 5 overlays to choose from if I get tired of seeing one pic/style too long.... :D
