start a program at windows start up

is there anyway to start an exe or anything for that matter when windows starts up??? also can somoe tell me how to make a batch file that will run the desired application when an application of certain file name/type is started

Place a shortcut to your app in C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp (for most systems)

Any program in there will run at start up.

This has been asked before so do a search and see what turns up.

or set a new key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
