Microsoft Access PLEASE HELP!

I am using Microsoft Access 2000 and i do not know how to copy text from one field in a corm to another field on the same form. Its sinplly a generated number which i want automatically placed in another field. How do i do this using some sort of CODE behind the individual field or a button?
