selectable toolbox (like visio)

I am investigating how to write an app which has a toolbox of selectable items. I will need to place them on the 'canvas' and be able to resize them and type text in them.

Just like you can with visio (for those of you who have used it)

Anyone got any ideas. I have asked this question on a few other forums but no-one has been able to come up with a workable answer.

Can you post a screen shot of the control you are talking about?

I'm not talking about any particular control.

I may need to create my own control for this project but how do I do that without creating 101 new usercontrols. Would't make the project very installable.

He talking about a Toolbox window docked to the app, just like Studio's Toolbox. See the attached (assuming I added it correctly with this new version of the board )

Thats great flyguy, thats half of the problem. The other problem is how to have a toolbox of items. Just like visio so I can do diagrams. Drag an item off the toolbox and place it on a canvas. Then be able to risize it. I have thought about shapes but they do not respond to events and so you cannot drag them round or resize themon the cancas/form.
