want help related to ocr

hello friends,
i am finding problem in designing an application that reads (ie.. converts an .tif image to .rtf) an image and also shows the errors in the richtextbox after the image being converted to .rtf.
so if any help u can provide then do help me.

my problem is that how i can convert the .tif file to .rtf
and at the same time i must show the errors after conversion of the image(.tif).

To convert an image to text you need some kind of OCR, like you stated in the subject. So you need to buy some kind of software or control which is capable of doing Optical Character Recognition.
