can we use a colored cursor in a VB application? I guess it is possible since it is in Windows, but I don't know what to call to do so, default VB cursors are monchrome, they are too ugly :-\

You have to have a colored cursor file, and set that as the cursor for the form/picturebox/whatever that you want it displayed on. I think that Visual Studio has a utility for making CUR files, though I haven't tried to make colored ones with it.

for that you have to use the Custom mousepointer, so the colored cursor will automatically become monochrome and that is the problem!

Perhaps the MouseIcon property would be more useful?

if u set mousepointer to 99 (custom) and load a color cursor in the mouseicon prop it will automatically turn into a b&w cursor :(
