There's no file attached, and we don't just hand out coding examples. We help with code that is already coded. Or we pseudocode.

Search the forums, this has been a hot topic recently.

Edit: Searched and found this.

Try searching the Code Library, something like this was posted a while back. Also, try using the link above. (Or search these forums, because this was answered several times in the past.)

Drop a web browser control on a form and show the GIF in it.

Oh well, that coding example got 650 lines of codes!!

Web browser control? I couldn't find it in my component.

Is there any shortcut like 'drag n drop' or something?

Reading 650 codes is making me crazy though... :huh:

Web browser control? I couldn't find it in my component.

The Webbrowser control is under "Microsoft Internet Controls" In the Componets section of VB.

Show the Gif like this: Webbrowser1.Navigate "C:\file.gif"

If you do not want to view the scroll bars in the webbrowser, make sure you read my reply in this thread: http://visualbasicforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=64248

Well, i put it like this --

Private Sub WebBrowser1_StatusTextChange(ByVal Text As String)
WebBrowser1.Navigate "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\dh03.gif"
End Sub

I didn't even see the picture...what i have left out here?

Is that event even getting processed? If you are not navigaitng a page before that, I doubt it ! I would just put your Navigate action in the Form Load sub if you just want the picture to load up at start up!

Hi:

Well i try to use the control but it has run time error when execute and i don't know why.

Private Sub Command1_Click()
AnimGif1.GifPath = App.Path & "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\dh03"
AnimGif1.StartGif
End Sub

Is it the gif file not supported?

Is there a reason anyone hasn't mentioned the Scriptlet Control yet? It's sort of a stripped down browser control, without a Border, and it has a scrollbar property. If you just want to display a gif, it seems ideal.
just add Microsoft HTML Objects, to your toolbar.

It sounds interesting. But how about the coding?

Is it like this?

Private Sub Form_Load()
Scriptlet1.? "C:\*.gif"
End Sub

now that i actually tried it out, maybe it doesnt work so well. I could only set the url property at design time.
