Hi guys,
I'm quite new at this forum but need desperate help in trying to run several macros created for Word 97.
In my macros, I try to access the ActiveDocument by this path: Application.ActiveDocument
When run on my machine, it works fine. However, when run on other ppl's machines it's coming up with the error 5981; "could not open macro storage". The only difference that i can think of that would make a difference between my machine and the others is that I have the full Visual Studio package installed. I don't really want to install Visual Studio in each and everyone's machine as I don't think the company would want the cost of getting extra licenses for the package. Where am I going wrong here?
I went on the Microsoft site to look for help. I came up with some suggestions to check :
1. network permissions (users have full-write access)
2. memory - not a problem either
I apologise if this query has come up before but I DESPERATELY need help and would appreciate any suggestions and ideas on how to solve this problem.
Thanks heaps,
Ida
