Changing something in a file...

Lets say I have a Text box and a submit/command button, and I want to be able to type something in that Text Box and be able to press the submit/command button and it will change something in the Registry file. How can I do this? I already have the Text Box and the Button. But I need to know how type something in, press the button and it change something in the Registry file.-thanks

Ayee... Sounds almost malicious to me. If you really want to know, try looking around this forum for registry editing. I think I saw something in the Tutor's Corner or Code Library before...

It's just for a MSN Messenger Add on. What I want to do is create a program, and people will be able to type in what they want for the "Do not give out your credit card or..." at the top of the Instant Message window. And they will be able to custimize the message.

I havn't found it, but I have came acrose something close to it. But it's not what I want. Does naybody else have the code,website, or a idea?-thanks
