Simple Registry Editor

Hello, I work at a school district and we're getting ready to gear up for our summer maintenance project. We're moving some of our PCs to windows XP. We're a novell house, so we're not using microsoft's domain services. Basically, I'm looking for a bit of code or simple script that will change the value of a string in the registry.

I'm going to have a window, with three text fields, and an action button. The person configuring the machine will enter the computer name, domain server(computer name again I think), and the IP address for the machine. When they click the action button, I want the registry to update.

Any help with this would be much appreciative.

hello,
i presume that "the person conifguring the machine" will be assigning static ip address to the nic card. my question is, will there be multiple nics in the system?
