VBA interface w/ hyperterminal on remote system

I need some help on writing a macro to interface with a remote system over dial-up (not over internet). The macro will login, upload files, maybe pass some other commands...I just need to know how to communicate with a remote system in VBA (VB if nessaccary). I've been tinkering with the Microsoft Internet Transfer control...is that the right track??
