How do I link DirectX to my projects in Visual Basic? I got some sample code from PSC that won't run because VB is not linked Please Help? Thanx in advance!

BillSoo 07-06-2001, 03:57 PM If I understand you correctly, you need to set a reference to the DirectX library. Assuming you have directx installed on your system somewhere, you would goto the "Project" -"References" menu. You would then scroll down the list until you found "DirectX 8 for Visual Basic Type Library". You put a check beside this entry, then close the References window. Note: While you may have DirectX 8, the sample code you downloaded may have been designed for DirectX 7 or less. I *think* it should still work if you upgrade the sample to use the latest version of DirectX. I'm not so sure if you try to downgrade to an earlier version though...
