ok a couple of days ago my brother put a fool proof thing on MYCOMPUTER and it makes it so i can't put on programs or take them off im thinking of making a vb program to take out that little snippet or whatever to do something to get that thing off please help or my programming days will be over

ok first i don't know what it has to do with game programming thats just where i was at that point in time and what i mean is the program he put on there made it so i can't install or unistall anything

Is it in the Close Program list (Ctrl+Alt+Del)?

Or how about the TaskMan (Go to Start, Run, type 'taskman')?

How about if you boot up off a floppy? Then maybe you can look for the program he installed and delete it.

lol i finallay got it.... i booted up my computer in Safe Mode and delted it manually... although i came up with some other options when i was thinking about it i could also download a virusscanner and delte it through that... like use a hexidecmal editor and write a code in it to make it "look like a virus"

could be deepfreeze.. well i dont think that was it but deepfreeze does the same thing. it uses a server to keep a record of what is on the computer. you can install programs, download stuff, format the hard drive,ect. but when the computer restarts everything is the same as when it was before. this program is great for a good sized network. at my school we had many troubles getting around this program.
