Hello all. I am currently installing vb 6 from visual studio but am having a problem. I had iinstalled once before to some folders on my desktop but I then deleted them folders by mistake now everytime I run visual studio installer it makes me install certain vb things to those folders but I want it in a brand new place. So some of the options won't let me change the install folder so I am wondering if theres a way to be able to change them...? Any help or anything at all would be greatly appreacited because I am in great trouble here so thanks in advance and have a good one.

If you can't uninstall it first, search Microsoft for MSIZap, but use it very carefully.

Apparently, you need to uninstall VB before reinstalling it. Either you haven't tried that, or it refuses to uninstall. If you've deleted some things manually, this could be the case. MSIZap is a utility from Microsoft that will erase VB from your registry, as if it was uninstalled, thus allowing you to install it as if it had never been. I say be careful because MSIZap is a very powerful utility, and you could erase more than just VB if you aren't cautious.
