text on video

Just a clarification, I can't really help with code...do you mean a separate caption file for media players, a kind of overlay in your own custom media player, or permanent text added to the video?

Thank you very much for your reply. Actually I need the text over a video (mpeg/mpg). The text will be lyrics of the videos. Thereofore, they will change everytime with every video. I have tried several techniques but the text hides behind the video. The text has to be transparent and dynamically read from a text file.
