Can't register file during setup. Why?

Hey guys.. I am using VB6's PDW. I used to have the problem where I would have to restart my machine 312 times for no reason because I had multiple "System files are out of date" errors. I got that fixed this morning.

Now, When i run the setup.exe create by PDW, I get nearly to the end of the setup process, and a fatal error occurs that says:

"c:\temp\msftqws.pdw\$(DLLSelfRegisterEX) could not be registered because it was not found"

I did a search on the dir msftqws.pdw on this forum and found a few threads, but no problems occured like this.

Any ideas? I am lost.

That very error is covered by a number of threads and there is a link in
the FAQ thread at the top of the Installation/Documentation board that
covers it. The main reason usually involves having the mscal control in
the project.
The knowledgebase article on the MS web site seems to be missing right
now but this one has a brief mention of the problem...
