right here goes.......

im trying to make an word macro : here is wot i need it to do...

1. goto top of document
2. begin search for picture "x"
3. select picture in frame
4. insert
5. picture
6. from file
7. insert picture which matches searched picture "x"
8. restart procedure and repeat for every picture in document

i have tried many ways of getting around this, and have come up with the "goto" option so it goes int the document, finds the first picture selects that and replaces it with the new picture, now the trouble is when i select goto, what do i select as the thing i want to goto?? i've trid all of the options but all it seems to do is just goto the next page rather than the next picture...... the picture in the frame is in fact a sllide imported from powerpoint.

please help me, if this doesntr make much sense then ask me and ill try to explain it a little bit better!

I don't really understand but I know how I would try to figure it out. Go to the macro option on the Tools menu and select record new macro. The do all the steps you want the macro to do manually. The stop the macro recording and look at how it converted your actions into commands.
I hope this helps.

I think therefore I am... sometimes right. images/icons/wink.gif

i have been working on this all morning...... recorded many macros, but have made very little distance.

basically.. wot im doing is rebranding, i need to replace old pictures with new ones.

but thats where it stops getting simple :s

i need to search through the document to find something like this... "PPR-IPV2.4" this is a heading to each picture. the PPR-IPV2."4" part is the picture number. so in this case i need to replace this picture with the new one called picture4.

does that make any more sense to u?
