Question CSS formatting lost on Postback

Hi all,

I'm really stumped with this . The page loads fine with the css formatting. However when the page postbacks it seems as though the css is lost. I'm using an external css file linking it to the page via LINK tag in the HEAD section.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance

That is odd. Are you doing anything in code that would be changing your CSS Classes or anything like that? Or is there a chance you're using Response.Write and getting invalid HTML so the CSS can't find the right selectors?

My first suggestion would be to create a new empty page with just the CSS and a submit button and make sure that works. Then start adding elements of you page back in 1 at a time to see when(if) the CSS functionality breaks.

Whats even more odd is that it works perfectly on my development machine. When I move it over to our testing server this issue pops up. I'm beginning to wonder if its the IIS setup or something.

Finally figured it out. I was using a relative path to the css file to link it to my page. I changed this to the absolute path and it worked great.

The solution always seem so simple.
