Default Unable to launch Development Server - Port is in use

Hi, I have the problem 'unable to launch the ASP.NET Development Server because port xxxx is in use'. However, no matter what I change it to, or whether I set the port to be automatically assigned or static, it gives me this message. The only way I can work is to copy the code I've already done and create a NEW web application and paste the code, which you can guess is EXTREMELY frustrating. This works fine, until I reboot my machine and load up the parent solution, and we start all over again the next day! If it helps, the solution also has a silverlight project in it. I would really, really appreciate any help on this as it's really affecting my work, and I'll have to re-install everything if I can't find a solution!

TIA.

OK, after days of stressing about this, I finally found that it was the stupid antivirus / firewall software that our stupid technician had installed without telling me. Basically it was blocking devenv.exe from using any ports, I found a good article here as to how to change this (if you have certain anti-virus software!)

You can find the article here.

Cheers again.
