Default Unable to connect to server

I'm having an odd problem that I'm hoping someone can assist me with. When working with my webapp in visual studio and trying to debug and open a conneciton to the sqlserver I'm getting the following error:

"network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

What baffles me more is I can connect and work with the server just fine on the deployed website but not when trying to test and debug in visual studio. Further this just started out of the blue, I had tested the entire site before deploying it without receiving this. Now when I try to open a connection I'm getting the above error

I'm not using a role provider, that was one of the solutions I found on this error, so that doesn't fix it. I've tried assigning a specific port and allowing it in the firewall with no difference. I've removed SQLEXPRESS as the default instance, another possible solution I found, with no luck.

I would greatly appreciate any input you can provide me to solve this error. It's getting annoying because I need to make changes to the website and I can't exactly debug the internet or deploy everytime I make a code change to test it..

Sorry to continuously to post solutions to my own problems, I'm one of those people that doesn't like to wait for solutions I guess.

For others that may encounter this problem here's the solutions I discovered.

Backup, remove create and restore remote database. In my case I use GoDaddy.

Reset settings in Visual Studio

The biggest delay for me was waiting for the silly server to get created again. Once I tested on internet it worked perfect as well as in test environment.
