Default TCP/IP Port Monitoring

Can VB be used to write a program to non-destructively monitor incoming and outgoing data over a range of TCP/IP ports? I'm just learning about the winsock controls and haven't yet read anything that would suggest this potential.

Thanks in advance,

Kyeohti

Default Err? Typo?

The Microsoft article proved quite informative. I couldn't help but notice though that Winsock1 is never declared in the example code and I didn't see mention of Winsock control creation. The first mention of Winsock I see is when Winsock1.localport is assigned to an integer. Is the missing declaration an oversight or am I failing to realize something?

Thanks again,

Michael

maybe they forgot to mention "create a winsock control on the form", so i would try that.
