Default MSComm input always empty....

Hello everyone , I've got this problem for getting MSComm.Input that is always empty.
Here is the code :

modinput = ""
MSComm.Output = "AT+CMGR=1"
MSComm.Output = Chr(13)
Sleep (1000)
modinput = MSComm.Input

The problem is that the MSComm.Input is always empty....
I've tried to read the content MSComm.Input , at first the input is not empty.
But when I tried to copy the input into some variables , the input is suddenly empty.....

Please help me.
Thanks in advance.

Ok I've figured that out....
Apparently when you break the program to see the MSComm.Input value , the value is somehow lost....
Is this correct? Just wanted to confirm it....

Thx.

Hi,

That's not a 'feature' I've come across. Why not use the OnComm event to identify when data is available to be input rather than the sleep ?

Regards
Doug
