Anyone know how to specify, for a webbrowser control, the address of an http proxy to use?

As the WebBrowser control uses the same settings as Internet Explorer, you will be modifying the properties of both. I believe you will need to check out the InternetQueryOption and InternetSetOption API's, and the Microsoft KB has an example of this (albiet in C++): http://support.microsoft.com/?id=226473
