My app utilizes a MSComm control to perform half-duplex communications with a lab instrument. Many different packet structures are used but the data streams are 57600,N,8,1 ASCII. I need to log both sent and received data in a session to a file. The send-receive operations are working nicely.

I have very limited experience with GETs and PUTs and no VB experience with Binary files. My Send code sources Byte arrays of ASCII characters and my receive data is processed as comEvReceive interrupts.

Can some one suggest to me the syntax for Opening the Binary log file and for the Send and Recv Put's? I want a single byte in the file for each sent or received character. Each packet starts with a null character and ends with a 0x0D character.
