Exclamation Notice : Breaking Change In Win 7 SP1

If you are developing in VB 6 on a Win 7 machine you should take notice of the following: I recently upgraded my workstation to Win 7 SP1 and noticed that apps that I compile work fine on my workstation, but any code which work with ADO do not work on other workstations with older operating systems.

After a bit of searching I came upon this thread. It gives a more detailed description of the problem and some possible workarounds.

Forewarned is four-armed.

Microsoft published a fix for the problem. You can find more details and the
fix itself on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2640696. It seems to have solved the
problem.
