Default Is emetom a reserved word in Access or VB6?

I have VB6 program built on a large Access database containing all my clients, companies, jobs, contractors, etc.
I get a consistent run-time error with one client whose last name is Emetom. The error is:
----------
Cannot open database''. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.
----------
The Last Name is a field. No matter what other field I change on this record, I get this error when saving. The only way I found to prevent the error is to change that last name. Works well with Emeton (with an n instead of an m). I deleted the record from the table and rebuilt it. Same thing.
I have an Email field with cemetom@xxxx.com which does not cause a problem.
This is the only record (out of over 4,000) which causes this error, and it causes it consistently.
Any idea as to what is causing this error? Thanks for your input.

Here is what a friend says:
If you wanted to prove an issue with a specific field value, create a new empty database, add a table and populate a field with that specific value.

Presuming that works fine (which is likely), then remove the table from you existing database, recreate it from scratch and populate the fields with clean text (no formatting, if pasting).
