Default Word Whomp(clone) Help

I want to make a game close to word whomp, or another game like so but do not know where to start, like i dont know how to use the mouse to select menu options, or be able to type the letters/click the letters also how to make squares that will hold already typed in words and make the preset boxes based on how many words can be spelled out of the 6 random letters.

You sound like you don't know much about VB. I don't know much myself, but I know how to program something like Hang Man. I'm not sure exactly what Word Whomp is, but make a data file with some word choices in it. Here's how you would do that:

1.) Open up Notepad
2.) Type in a bunch of words surrounded in quotes. Put one word on each line.
Example:
"VISUAL BASIC"
"MICROSOFT"
"VIDEOGAMES"
It's best to do it in all caps because it will make it easier to check whether they guessed a letter correctly.
3.) Save the data file with an extension of .dat. So words.dat would work fine.
After you have done that, in the form load event do something like this
Code:
Randomize intNum = int((10) * Rnd + 1) 'That will pick a random number between 1 and 10. Replace the number 10 with however many entries you have in teh data file. For intX = 1 to intNum Open "C:\Data Files\names.dat" for input as #1 'Use the correct directory Input #1, strWord Close #1 'Now you have a random word from your file in the strWord string. Next intX
That will get you started I guess.

That game requires you to either determine at runtime which words are actual English words that can be spelled from the given letters, or to have a preset list of words and all words that can be formed from those words.

"like i dont know how to use the mouse to select menu options" in what?
You don't know how to actually click on the menus within VB or do you not know how to configure the menu options in your programs (Ctrl-E opens the editor when the form is in view)?

For typing in text, you can start with textboxes.

"how to make squares that will hold already typed in words"
You can use a listbox for the already typed in words.

The more requirement you put on yourself, the harder the program will be.

Um... you can't make a menu in a label control.
Did you try to make a menu from multiple label controls? You should use Ctrl+E to make your menu, not labels.

So, what's not working now with the labels or is everything fine there? What are you working on now?
