Default Tetris Clone Question

Okay, first off, it's been many years since I attempted a game. My kids are getting into games and I thought of making some simple games with them. Tetris, as simple as it seems, is for some reason really getting to me. I can figuare EVERYTHING out except the most important. How to get a block to appear each time a block is done. I can not for the life of me remember how to make blocks appear on their own.

Please, help.

Depends a lot on your code design, but in my scenario my game logic was something along these lines:
  1. Instantiate new clsBlock (Choose which figure, set location)
  2. Call the Show method to draw it on the screen
  3. Let it move down each interval
  4. Check if it hit something
  5. Take it square of the block and put them in static array
  6. Repeat
I declared a new block
