Default what i tried is

if reset the setbounds of my cars and the readyset go to the first picture that is supposed to be showing, then i pressed start again and it did not restart

Form2.racetreeRed.Visible = True 'resets the race tree
Form2.RacetreeG.Visible = False

Form2.aicar.SetBounds(0, 415, 70, 40)
'reset where the car is and size

Form2.playerscar.SetBounds(0, 350, 70, 40)
'reset posistion of the players car

am i missing something?

At all you are doing is showing the racetreeRed picture instead of RacetreeG and moving the two pictureboxes to a specific location. What about resetting the game timer? And the properties of the cars such as acceleration, speed, direction ect.?

You need to reset all the game variables, so you're are at the exact state before start was pressed the first time. What happens when you execute the above code?
