Default Urgent : Problem in Implementation of Interface?

Problem in Interface Implementation?

Hi

I am developing a project which uses Interface implementation extensively.

Sometimes, If I am changing(I am not sure, what I did...) something in Interface or implementing class, suddenly interface name vanishes from "General" tab.

Consequently, all the implemented classes become invalid. In the same project, all the interface implementation all affected
by this unknown problem.

Because, of this problem, I have to recreate this full project from scratch. I am really in trouble.

What went wrong?...Any help?

Please, see the attached screen shot. ( Here you can see, implemented procedure of ICodBvk_cnGetCnOra and there is no
relative "ICodBvk" in "General Combo")

This can occur when you make changes to the class that is being Implemented. One method I've used to correct the issue is to delete the Implements line and then re-add it (If the implemented class is within the same project).

If the implemented class is in an external project (ie: ActiveX DLL), then you should make sure that the DLL was compiled as a Binary-Compatible library. As long as you don't change a public interface, then it shouldn't break the reference to the class.

Sadly, it is not working. Even I tried to recreate that files with a simple public procedure. But, of no use.

Further, all interface implementation in the whole project is affected. Even I tried to add dummy classes (ie class2 implements class1, where class1 has only one public sub), just to check whether I am able to create any other interface.

From this point onwards, my whole project simply refuse to create even new interface implementation.

Request further assistance...

Could you post a simple project that is displaying this behavior? In general, it is a bad idea to change an interface once it has been implemented, but I guess you've found that out already.
