Default advice on running install script

Hi,
Having 'finished' my app, what I would really like is for a couple of folders to be created on installation. Currently what happens is, the first time the app is run, these 2 folders are created. But it would be neat (since I could then remove the coding that currently creates them) if this could happen as part of the installation process itself. But I've never done it like this before.
Can I do this through the P&DW? And if so, what form would this script take? Can I write it in VB?
