Default Transparent Quad using colorkey

I can't get the transparent texture on my quad to be..transparent

I load the texture with a magenta color key

Code:
Dim theTexture As Texture theTexture = TextureLoader.FromFile(device, _ Application.StartupPath + texFilename, _ iWidth, iHeight, 1, 0, _ colorFormat, Pool.Managed, _ Filter.Linear, Filter.Linear, &HFF000000)

I acctivate these options:

Code:
'Allow texture transparencies D3DDev.RenderState.SourceBlend = Blend.SourceAlpha D3DDev.RenderState.DestinationBlend = Blend.InvSourceAlpha D3DDev.RenderState.AlphaBlendEnable = True

i've had it appear black before, but never see through

Any ideas????
