Plotting data from serial port in VB 2010
 
hi all,

having been able to acquire data via my com port, i need to plot the data.

please how do i go about it...help me with codes/guidelines...etc

i use VB 2010.

It probably depends on how you want to present the data.
I've read data in that drives instrument type displays, i.e. like an airplane cockpit, or data that drives multiple bars, like a mixer panel, or data driving a strip chart that scrolls continuously, or data that is plotted like points on a map.

You need to provide more detail to get a reasonable response, but you can look at this thread as just one example of drawing some data, in this case a polar (radar) type plot based on bearing and distance. There are many other examples of plotting/drawing on the forum, some perhaps even closer to what you want, if we only knew what that was.
