Default Access 2002 problem

Hi!
When I convert my old Access 97 database to Access 2002, I get
"Unrecognized database format..." in VB 6.0. How can I get around this (without having to convert it back and forth all the time).

Are you using ADO or DAO?. What Version of Provider are you using?

Are you using Service Pack 5 for VB? You can download it from

Hi,
Could you show you connection string?
Using "...Jet.OLEDB.3.51..." provider...?

You need to get at least mdac 2.5 from Microsoft.

Hi - I'm using the old data control i VB, to access the tables and queries I need. By the way - I've tried to run service pack 5, but it doesn't seem to do make any difference.

You have to choose "Access2000" instead of "Access"
