Interactive data form similar to Quicken Register

I am looking to create a subform with the capability to allow users to edit, add, or delete records where the subform performs real-time updates simular to how Quicken and Money allow the user to add, delete, or edit transactions in a check register. I have been unable to find any information on how this might be accomplished. I would greatly appreciate a response.
