Multiple ActiveX controls. Same product different versions.

As the title says I have an application that exposes an ActiveX control.
Several versions of the app have been installed on my development box.
I need to embed only the latest version into VB.NET 2010 form. What is the procedure to do this?
Do I unregister all the previous OCX files and regegister the latest?
I do not want to uninstall the older versions as this is a huge app and difficult to install.
