Hello every one,
\r\n Iam unable to solve one of my problems in Excel Spread Sheet. Please try to understand:-
\r\n
\r\n1) Firstly i have made 2 columns as shown below with these values in it.
\r\n
\r\nCell 1 Cell 2
\r\nBar No. Area
\r\n3 0.11
\r\n4 0.2
\r\n5 0.31
\r\n6 0.44
\r\n7 0.6
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n2) Now I made three more columns with no values in them yet in the spread sheet as shown below:
\r\n
\r\nCell 3 Cell 4 Cell 5
\r\nAs Bar No. Area
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n3) Now i want that when a place a value say:-
\r\n
\r\nCell 3 Cell 4 Cell 5
\r\nAs Bar No. Area
\r\n0.41
\r\n
\r\n4) Then there should be a relation or routine which can match the value from As to Area between cell 2 & 3,then the program picks up the nearest ( large value)of Area and its corresponding Value of Bar No. i.e. from Cell 1 & Cell 2 and place them in Cell 4 and Cell 5.
\r\n Lets say if in As = the value=0.41
\r\nthen the cell 3,4,5 should look like as shown below:-
\r\n
\r\nCell 3 Cell 4 Cell 5
\r\nAs Bar No. Area
\r\n0.41 0.44 6
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n5) the value of AS will alway be between the numbers placed in Cell 2 i.e. Area, so any relation of function like greatest number etc..may be used but iam unable figure it out. Please do tell Guide me step wise to solve this problem .

Wink Lets See Who can Do this in Excel

Hello every one,
Iam unable to solve one of my problems in Excel Spread Sheet. Please try to understand:-

1) Firstly i have made 2 columns as shown below with these values in it.

Cell 1 Cell 2
Bar No. Area
3 0.11
4 0.2
5 0.31
6 0.44
7 0.6

2) Now I made three more columns with no values in them yet in the spread sheet as shown below:

Cell 3 Cell 4 Cell 5
As Bar No. Area

3) Now i want that when a place a value say:-

Cell 3 Cell 4 Cell 5
As Bar No. Area
0.41

4) Then there should be a relation or routine which can match the value from As to Area between cell 2 & 3,then the program picks up the nearest ( large value)of Area and its corresponding Value of Bar No. i.e. from Cell 1 & Cell 2 and place them in Cell 4 and Cell 5.
Lets say if in As = the value=0.41
then the cell 3,4,5 should look like as shown below:-

Cell 3 Cell 4 Cell 5
As Bar No. Area
0.41 0.44 6

5) the value of AS will alway be between the numbers placed in Cell 2 i.e. Area, so any relation of function like greatest number etc..may be used but iam unable figure it out. Please do tell Guide me step wise to solve this problem .
