Connect to db on ftp server

I know how to connect to my database when on my hard drive.

I just uploaded it to an ftp server...is there a way to connect to it?

SOmething like:

Set dbdist = DBEngine.OpenDatabase("ftp://mydatabase.location")?

Can someone help me out?
