I'm assuming this is some kind of database question. Are you using ADO? DAO? SQL? What does your code look like right now?

I'm using dao, here's an example: the query lists car info. by license plate ,yet the database can have the same plate# more than once, what I need is ordered by the most recent date in descending order. Hope this helps.

Data1.RecordSource = _
"SELECT * FROM car WHERE plate='" & _
txtplate.Text & "'"
Data1.Refresh

Try:

"SELECT * FROM car WHERE plate = " & plate.text & " ORDERED BY date DESC"

where date is your date field
