Shell\Open\Command - What Does Mean This Registry Value??
|
Hi all.
This question is about HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES. I'm dealing with file associations, and I've found a strange Value in MSOffice filetypes.
I've found a BINARY Value named "Command" under the key Shell\Open\Command (replace "Open" with any of the available shell actions). I know perfectly the default Value points to the associated program executable, but I have no idea what the Command value is intended for.
Not sure if this is a propietary feature of MSOffice or there are another apps that use this obscure Value.
It seems to store some "encoded" thing. For Word.Document.8, the "Command" value shows something like "?R,!!gxsf(Ng]qF'H{LsWORDFiles>llT]jI{jf(=1&L[-81-] /n".
Where can I find documentation about this??
Thanx in advance.
