Unhappy Lpt

hi to everybody

I need to make my VB program to get some informations through the LPT

to do the same thing through the serial port I include in my form a MSComm control; does a similar control for the LPT exist? Or, can I use the same for the LPT? In this case, how can I configure the control?

Thank you

Hi there. Welcome to the visualbasicforums... wehave a search feature here - its very useful. Type in the terms you want, choose where and when you want to search from and bingo. Using the search, I came up with this link, from a thread about the same thing.

To access LPT ports directly, and control input/output, you need a third party DLL written in probably C or C++. Good luck....
