Default Zipping/compressing files?

When you right-click a file or directory in Windows XP and the choose the 'Send To' option, there is a sub-option that says 'Compressed (zipped) Folder'.

How can a person access this compression from VB.NET? Is there something already available or is there a call to the API that can be made?

I've never heard of anyone hooking into that functionality of the OS. Most of the time I've heard people use SharpZipLib for compression from .NET. It's a free download, and is 100% .NET code so it is the most compatible with framework code.

I've never used it personally, but I've seen it mentioned in quite a few different places.

Cheers. I'll give it a go.
