Well, I dunno if they are 'good' but here's a couple of little games I did by myself.

Simple snake game

Breakout using DirectDraw

I have some other ideas running around but haven't put anything together in a while. I was going to try to put together a pac-man clone, but I think I want to create something original.

My goal would be to create a game that no one has seen before and make it intuitive enough that anyone could pick up on it easily. The classics are hard to beat though.

I've seen plenty more game examples both here on the forum and on PlanetSourceCode. Some are more finished or refined and others are just prototypes. Some of the 3-D stuff I've seen is pretty cool, something I don't really have a knack for myself.

You can make some pretty neat stuff using the DirectX graphics API, both 2-D and 3-D

This site may be worth checking out for you while it's still around
