Default Outlook XP and Word Editor question

Hi,

In outlook xp, it seems that using Word as the editor is the default setting for the app. My question is that I have a COM AddIn for both word and outlook. However, since Outlook XP uses word for editing, my word COM AddIn gets activated in outlook along with the Outlook AddIn. Is there a way to look at a word application, and tell if it was created in Outlook, or is a stand-alone instance of the app?

Thanks,

Chris

No ideas I'm afraid, but I'd love to find out!

Try setting an object variable to your Outlook Word instance, and another to a fresh instance, then take a look through the properties of both objects in the Locals window to see if anything sticks out
Sorry, that's the best I can offer...
