Is it possible to use vb to extract text from a PDF file? I am not sure how to approach it. I deal a lot with documents and they are in columns...I am not sure to how collect the data and then manipulate it for what I need. I use information in pdf documents, and I need the information so that I can use an array to manipulate the data into sentences, groups, etc....any help or the knowledge that this is even possible would help.

There is an Acrobat COM control (I believe that you get with the full version of Adobe Acrobat - as long as your users have the reader, they can use it too...) that you can use to manipulate the files...

I purchased the Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and the essentials as well to read and create pdf documents. I am not sure where to find the COM and how to manage it. Any additional help would be appreciated.

Maybe I am just confused, sorry.
