Generic HTML Question - Height of 100%

Hi everyone, I have a quick question and hopefully someone knows a quick solution.

I have a table, 2 rows. First row is an image that spans the two columns. The height of that image is 50px. The two columns, I wanted a height of 100% to expand the full screen. But unfortunately, the 100% gets expanded past the screen (what looks to me is 50px past the screen).

Does anyone know how to have a height of (100% - 50px)?? I'm tempted to dive into some coding to get this to work, but I don't want to assume what extra "quick bars" are installed on people's browsers and would rather stay to CSS formatting.

You can make the containing table's height 100% and the height of the cell containing the image one pixel:

</tr>
<tr>
	<td>&nbsp;</td>
	<td>&nbsp;</td>

</table>

The cell then grows to the minimum required to show all of it's content, and the cells in the next row grow to take up the rest of the space on the page.

Depending on what you're trying to accomlish, you can also make the cells look taller by using something akin to faux columns.
