Alot of the same principals apply in version 8.5. Do you have a specific question? These tutorials can get you on the right direction

A good way to start is to just use the wizard to make your first report. If you are using VB 6.0 the wizard will launch automatically when you try to add a new crystal report.

I will try to find some other links that refer directly to 8.5

Are you using Access? Put this code into your CRViewer: Put this login code string after the initial default code line ReportSource= Report and before the next default code line CRViewer1.ViewReport

As In:

CRViewer1.ReportSource = Report

Report.Database.Tables.Item(1).SetLogOnInfo "servername_here", "databasename_here", "login", "password"

CRViewer1.ViewReport

basically put in the absolute db path and name, the username if present and password if present.

I have done very little with data environments...if I am using a Data Report I tend to pass my ADO recordsets directly, rather than using a data environment or ADODC controls if I can help it. So, I am really not sure if you can use an inner join command in a data environment. I would imagine it is possible, I can't see why not, but I don't want to give false information. Hopefully, someone else with experience in that componet can give you better advice on that

Glad I could help with your Crystal connection issue.
