Default API Son API

Well that wouldn't be a very easy task but it can be done. First you would need to find out what really happens in the compression from *.mp3 to *.wav. Then you would have to creat a dll (in C/C++) that would do the converting or get another vendors dll and use pure API calls to convert it to a *.wav file. Other then that and as far as I am aware there is no other way to do it in Visual Basic. Don't forget your limited in someways unless you go outside vb ranges (ex: api)
