Default Custom cursors for Treeview?

Treeview does not behave accordingly when choosing custom and default mousepointer. When I change the icon to Custom, the icon changes as I move into the control, but I want it to be the custom cursor only when it is over the treeview link like it is with Default. Is there any way to detect if the mouse is hovering over the control and hovering over a link inside the treeview control so I can change the mouse cursor accordingly? Or is there another way?? Thanks.
